This style begins with a three layer wooden band. Each layer is laid across the grain of the preceding layer, increasing the ring's durability threefold. After the wood for the face of the ring is laminated to the body, and before the Tree of Life design is burned into the face, the ring is carved and shaped, then sanded smooth, polished, and rubbed with a blend of natural oils and beeswax.
