I make each ring to order from the finest hardwood. This ring is built in three layers, each laid across the grain of the preceding one, increasing the ring's durability threefold. Once the body of the ring has been crafted, the stone is inserted into a cup which I have carved into the wood. I carefully insert the stone or gem into the cup, and then cement it securely in place using cyanoacrylic resin. The body of the ring is now carved and shaped, then sanded smooth, polished, and rubbed with a blend of natural oils and beeswax. These wooden rings are like small sculptures, carved from the finest of hardwoods. They are wearable art and must be treated with care. Just as you would not toss a hand painted silk shirt or dress into your washing machine, or place an iced drink on a hand crafted table without a coaster to protect it, you should not wear your ring in the shower or while washing your hands. Should your ring become wet, always dry it promptly to avoid damage |
