Wooden Spreaders Handcrafted from Tree Branches

Why purchase a one-of-a-kind, handcrafted wooden spreader for more than ten dollars when you can probably get a dozen machine made ones from a factory in China for a similar price at most kitchen shops? You buy it for the same reason you buy an original painting insead of a print. You buy it for its originality and style and in this case for its superior functionality as well. Each of my spreaders is handcrafted from a small branch pruned from a living tree. Each one takes its shape from that of its parent branch. Each retains many of its parent's original features: grain, color, wormholes, knots and all. No two can ever be the same. Nevertheless, whether you are spreading pate or peanut butter, the spreader's form is perfect for its function.
