My pie servers are each carved from branches of maple, cherry, or plum trees harvested at my home on Maury Island in Puget Sound, Washington. As I carve, I follow the shape and the grain patterns of the branch, so the finished pie server is never perfectly straight or symmetrical. Although the results may seem suited for display as objects of art, my handcrafted wooden pie servers are perfectly functional, equally useful for serving slices of pie, cake, or pizza.
